How this tool works
Mortgage Rates and Financing in Luxembourg
ECB monthly averages by initial fixing period. These are not bank offers or quotes for a full loan term.
Beta · This tool is still being refined. Treat results as guidance, not a binding financial assessment.
ChatHome shows indicative medians only when at least two distinct, non-crowdsourced published observations support a term. Use them to estimate costs, then request a binding bank offer.
Key points in 30 seconds
Compare fixed and variable rate structures, then use the calculators in this section to test a loan amount, interest rate and term that you enter.
Assumptions, limits & sources
Fixed vs variable rates
Fixed rate: the borrowing rate stays unchanged for the agreed fixed period. Variable rate: it changes under the formula in the contract. Mixed structures are also possible.
What the calculators use
The calculators in this section take the loan amount, the interest rate and the loan term that you enter. They show the monthly payment and the results they can model. They do not check whether a lender will approve the loan.
Purchase cost lines
The purchase cost lines use a registration duty of 6 percent and a transcription duty of 1 percent. The Bëllegen Akt credit is applied only when you confirm a balance for a primary residence.

Questions & examples
What do the mortgage calculators not do?
They do not decide whether a bank will lend to you, and they do not model tax deductions on mortgage interest.
Which calculator should I use first?
Use the payment calculator to test a loan amount, rate and term. Use the affordability calculator to see the largest price that fits the debt share you set, and the purchase cost calculator for the duties.
